BLAAAAARGH

Mer! Remember when we used to blawg on this thing?! I'm not nearly as fun or funny anymore! But reading back on it I realize that we had a really good time. Aw, I miss these days. But not really, because I only blogged as an escape because I hated my job so intensely.

I don't really have anything else to say... it's 5:25 a.m. and I'm a lot less overshary than I once was. I'll leave you with something I made recently in the old style of Microsoft Paint editing...behold....Space is the Place...to eat noodles from a cup....

Philosopher Phriday: Vol. XIV

Dear Philosopher,

So I haven’t read the Mitchell Report, the most definitive document to date regarding the use of steroids and human growth hormone among professional baseball players. However, I cannot help but be dismayed by the players that tamper with the purity of such a graceful sport. Crap, even the minute amount of players with Boston Red Sox affiliation is discounted due to Mitchell’s association with the club.

Is this a large-scale blow to our beloved national pastime, a McCarthyesque witch hunt, or merely another baseball-related list to prolong the men of America from “blowing their load”?

Disillusioned Ethical Avid Fan

Dear DEAF,
Winning is only possible is you are able to risk losing, just as wisdom is only possible if you are able to admit ignorance.*

Mustache Monday: Vol. 22

RED SOX EDITION

To those not in the know...the Red Sox (awesomeness) swept the Colorado Rockies in four to become the 2007 World Series Champions. There are some notable muzzys on this keeck @ss team: Jason Varitek, Kevin Youkilis...but it is Mike Lowell featured here. He really stepped it up in this series, and as a result won the Most Valuable Player. Totally an MVP mustache as well. Love you Mr. Lowell. BoSox4Life. xo, merlikethesea

making up for lost blogging: THURSDAY

This is a "rap" me and me mate Charlie wrote while watching both the US Open and the Red Sox/Orioles game. The Red Sox won, and it was good clean fun. Below are the disjointed verses (click to make beeg!)

Rockies v. Padres: i almost caught a fly ball

well, ok, maybe i didn't. they look so lovely lofting through the air that i must have dreamt it. i did decide that attending baseball games is my new favorite thing. f'n hebrew national hot dogs, copious amounts of beer, cheering protocol. i freakin love it...i thought they only did the wave at football games?!? no no...baseball is much more exciting, much more dramatic interactions, as if the players on the team were actually players in a theatrical production. their movements as choreographed as a ballet. to watch them move is to witness an intricate dance, a beautiful repercussive display. i love it. i love it all, every detail, every bit of minutia (and if you know me, you know i HATE minutia). p.g. said, "it's all about baseball" and i concur. baseball reflects all the beauty that is missing out of life. and to those that mess with that purity i say, "you ought to be ashamed".
